Wall lights are often used for illuminating landscapes, parking lots, office complexes, warehouses, and convenience stores. They also work well for building security because they can be paired with a photo control switchboard, which allows the lights to be turned off during daylight hours and automatically activated at night. This setup saves energy and ensures lighting is only used when needed, allowing you to set up your fixtures and then forget about them.

Standard HID wall packs are reflector-based luminaires that lose about 30% of the lamp’s lumens through “lumen bounce,” meaning that percentage of light never escapes the fixture. Metal halide (MH) bulbs also experience a rapid decline in lumen output over time. In contrast, outdoor LED wall packs are directional and do not lose lumen output in the same way. This makes an LED wall pack comparable in performance to an MH fixture with a much higher lumen rating on paper.
